Bio

Mark A. Matienzo is an Applications Developer at NYPL Labs of the New York Public Library Digital Experience Group. As of August 2007, he is Chair of the Description Section and Web Liaison of the Metadata and Digital Object Roundtable, both of the Society of American Archivists. Prior to joining the New York Public Library, he worked as assistant archivist for systems and metadata at the Niels Bohr Library & Archives of the American Institute of Physics, as project cataloging archivist at the National Anthropological Archives, Smithsonian Institution, and as catalog librarian at ProQuest Information and Learning. He received his MSI from the School of Information at the University of Michigan and a BA in Philosophy from the College of Wooster.
